About the role

As a Data Warehouse Engineer at VX Fiber, you will drive the development and operation of our Data Warehouse, Power BI solutions, and reporting. The role entails a clear end-to-end responsibility – from architecture and system design to automation and operation. We bring in external expertise as needed.

Currently, we are building our Data Warehouse with Microsoft Azure Data Factory, but we are moving towards Microsoft Fabric. We work with several types of data sources, with the majority of data being fetched via APIs.

The role requires a strong technical responsibility, but also curiosity, willingness to collaborate, and a desire to constantly explore what’s next.

Your main responsibilities

• Build, improve, and maintain our Data Warehouse
• Create and manage reports for internal and external use
• Develop self-service BI models in Power BI
• Integrate new data sources and model data models
• Drive architectural choices and system design for new solutions
• Work with modern tools in an environment that promotes learning and innovation
• Explore and apply AI in a Data Warehouse context

We are looking for someone who has

Education

We value competence, drive, and pragmatism more than formal education – if you have the right experience, diplomas matter less

Experience

• Several years of experience working with Data Warehouses
• Very good understanding of Kimball modeling
• Experience working independently and taking responsibility for the whole – from design to operation
• Interest in or experience with automation and AI
• Experience in the telecom industry is a plus
• Understanding or experience in development with Go is a plus

Languages

Fluent English in speech and writing
